![]() Tuner Pro RT can be found on This will give you the ability to tune, not in real time. To tune the '7747 style ECM, you will need a G1 adapter, a BURN2 (programmer), an ALDU1+CABL1 combo (datalogging cable), an EEPROM or two and Tuner Pro RT, with the proper definition files. ![]() I get most of my tuning equipment and supplies from Craig is a great guy to deal with and will sell you exactly what you need. This is why tuning the actual engine itself is so very important. Having a proper tune will allow the ECM to control the engine without needing to make drastic changes to the fuel delivery, that could cause drive-ability issues, and poor fuel economy, and overall a poorly running engine, or at least one that is not running up to the sum of the components. Yes the O2 feedback will help reduce the fuel delivered, but only once the ECM is in closed loop, and only so much. So while raising the fuel pressure would deliver more fuel where you need it, it would also deliver more fuel under all conditions, even where it's not needed. ![]() The flip side to this is that idle and part throttle cruise will require the same amount of fuel or less than the unmodified engine would need, under those same conditions. While it's true that when you modify an engine to breath better, you will need more fuel, but mostly at or near WOT throttle, part throttle accel will usually need a bit more fuel as well. ![]()
